Pinard et Filles is a small, low-intervention husband and wife winemaking team located on the western shore of Lake Memphremagog, specializing in non-vinifera hybrids that are better suited to Quebec’s challenging climate. Wine Love Me is an expressive, intense skin contact blend of Vinifera and hybrid varietals. It’s 50% La Crescent, macerated on the skins for 90 days in fiberglass tank. The remaining 50% is a blend of Riesling, Hibernal, La Crescent, and Brianna which are direct pressed and aged in neutral oak contributing freshness, acidity, depth and body. All fermentation is natural and spontaneous. The result is a vibrant, unique orange with with aromas of tangy citrus peel and hydrangea followed by tropical, tart guava and crisp apple and juicy pear flavors on the palate. Light to medium-bodied, with high acidity, this compelling and contemplative orange wine pairs well with strong, salty seafood like tinned mackerel and anchovies, a peach arugula salad with strawberry vinaigrette, or a stinky Camembert.
