Matias Riccitelli was born in the village of Cafayete in Northern Argentina, traveled the world making wine, and returned home to work with his father, Jorge, a revered, local winemaker - thus the ‘Apple Doesn’t Fall Far from the Tree’. This is a classic example of Torrontes, Argentina’s signature white grape. Medium-bodied, crisp and clean with lovely floral and tropical aromas, it’s refreshing with flavors of perfectly ripe guava, melon and peach. From high altitude, un-grafted vines it was harvested manually and fermented as well as aged in concrete eggs at cool temperatures. Pairs wonderfully with mild, soft cheese but also fruity enough to stand up to spicy Sichuan cuisine.
