2023 Ca N'Estruc Bi Blanco - Catalonia, Spain (750ml) - $24
Located on the slopes of the iconic Montserrat mountain range in Catalunya, the Ca N'Estruc estate dates back to the 16th century. Since 2013, the winemaker Anna Martí Pitart has been bottling wines under her own label, from certified organic plots of 70 year old vines grown on their red clay and gravelly soil. This cuvée is a blend of traditional Cava varietals - 80% Xarel-lo, 10% Macabeu, and 10% Parellada. After fermentation in steel tank and aging in concrete egg, it's bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with zero added sulfur. This light to medium bodied white is crisp, clean and complex with fragrances of orange blossom, lime, almond, and a hint of ginger. The palate is medium-bodied with restrained pineapple and stone fruit flavors, refreshing acidity and a clean finish. Pairs beautifully with asparagus salad and garlicky grilled lemon shrimp skewers.

2021 Vini Scirto Don Pippinu Skin Contact Carricante - Sicily, Italy (750ml) - $25
Giuseppe Scirto and Valeria Franco have storied histories of winemaking stemming from working their family vineyards as children, so it was only fitting they started their own project once they inherited vineyards from each of their grandparents in 2009. This skin contact blend named after Giuseppe’s grandfather is made up of Carricante, Catarratto, Gracanico, and Minnella all hand harvested from 60-80 year old vines rooted in Etna’s famous volcanic soils. The grapes are de-stemmed before fermenting on the skins for 5-7 days followed by 10-12 months elevage in stainless steel tanks. They are then bottled unfined, unfiltered, and without any added sulfites. The result is a hazy straw yellow hue with light to medium body, great texture, and notes of peach, nectarine, orange zest with bright acidity and grippy tannins. Enjoy with a Red Snapper ceviche or mushroom stuffed Arancini.

2022 Icaro Operaio Rosso Popolare - Lazio, Italy (750ml) - $27
Comprising just about 5 hectares of vineyards in the Castelli Romani region of Rome, I Ca Ro is a small collective of four men looking to make unpretentious, indigenous, and popular wines. Their wines are all hand harvested, spontaneously fermented, and vinified without any temperature control. Basically letting grapes and the juice from them evolve on their own with the absolute minimum amount of sulfur necessary. This organic red blend of 60% Nero Buono and 40% Trebbiano and Malvasia di Candia rooted in volcanic soils is fermented separately with about 1 day of skin contact on each before being blended prior to bottling. The result is a medium-light bodied inky red with aromas of red berries, barnyard, and dark flowers that lead into flavors of strawberry, cranberry, raspberry, wet earth, cola, and pine with vibrant acidity, crunchy tannins, and a pleasant herbal finish. Pairs deliciously with herb crusted prime rib or Margherita pizza.

2022 Domaine de la Ferme de Jeanne Mondeuse - Bugey, Savoie, France (750ml) - $30
Ferme de Jeanna started out as an all purpose farm with vines, grains, and fruit trees. Winemaking just played a casual role until their dedicated fan base convinced them to go all in. In 2011, the original vigneron retired and passed the torch to Regis and Karine Bernard who converted the entire domaine to organic practices and are currently in process of biodynamic certification. This compelling, 100% Mondeuse is handpicked from clay-limestone soils before a two week maceration and native yeast fermentation in fiberglass tank, where it rests for an addition 6 months prior to bottling with <10ppm or added sulfur. Medium-bodied with a deep, inky hue, it exhibits aromas of sandalwood, violet and dark berries followed by ripe cassis and plum with a note of tobacco and earth and a firm, dry, grippy tannic finish. Pairs deliciously with Tartiflette or Mushroom Stroganoff.
