2020 Secano Interior Yumbel Pipeño Pais - Sur, Chile (750ml)

Agricola Yumbel Estacion is a project of Mauricio Gonzalez Carreño, a winemaker working to support the resurgence of authentic Chilean viticulture, which had been largely forgotten for more than a quarter of a century due to the prevalence of large commercial wineries in the country. Mauricio uses biodynamic practices in both the vineyard and winery, which operates without electricity. This wine is 100% País that ferments and ages in pipas, old barrels made from Raulí, a native beechwood that grows in the Biobío Valley. Bright and lively with tart fruit and dried herbs on the nose, the palate is juicy, with crunchy red fruit, blood orange, and grippy tannins. Serve with a slight chill alongside fried oyster mushrooms and aioli or a Chilean thin-sliced steak sandwich with chimichurri and avocado.

2022 Vin Des Potes X Tuets Historia De VI - Catalonia, Spain (750ml)

Vin Des Potes was created by two passionate sommeliers, Basile and Yoan, who collaborate with various winemakers in different regions, who all share their philosophy of natural winemaking. Each cuvée is the result of “1 winemaker + 1 terroir + Basile + Yoan.” Historia de Vi is a blend of 80% Syrah, 10% Tempranillo, and 10% Macabeu from 25 year old vines grown in the heart of Catalonia wine country. It’s light and fresh, with notes of wild strawberry, a touch of earthiness and a slight barnyard note. Contemporary yet accessible, this wine has mild, yet grippy tannins, and moderate acidity, making it well-suited for a slight chill. Try alongside iconic Catalan dishes like black, garlicky squid ink rice or Butifarra Sausages with Mongetes (white beans).

2022 Kolfok Intra! The Wild Red - Burgenland, Austria (750ml)

Kolfok red is 100% organically farmed Blaufrankisch from cool north facing vineyards along the Austro-Hungarian border and among a broad array of cover crops. The bunches are destemmed followed by intracellular fermentation in large 600 liters (Halbstueck) to 1200 liters (Stueck) wood tanks with no fining, filtration, pumping, stirring or disturbance of any kind. Just a minimal amount of SO2 is added at bottling. This fresh, spicy, and bright natural wine showcases the varied terroir and non-interventionist winemaking style. Light-bodied and quaffable, it's low in tannin with bright acidity, fresh red berry and subtle green-pepper herbal notes. Pairs perfectly with spicy sausages and milder cheeses.

2019 Cellier de la Baraterie Mondeuse d'Arbin - Savoie, France (750ml)

Cellier de la Baraterie is helmed by Julien Viana, a young winemaker who took over the domaine in 2014 after studying oenology in Beaujolais, and now organically cultivates 10 hectares of vineyards of Jacquère, Altesse, Malvoisie, Gamay, and Mondeuse in the Savoie region of the French Alps. This is his Mondeuse, a lively, clean, and light bodied red that’s fermented with ambient yeast in stainless steel and bottled with minimal sulfur. Expect notes of fresh juicy raspberry and ripe forest berries with a distinct minerality and a dry, earthy finish.
