A pioneer in New York State made Bourbon, Coppersea’s Excelsior Bourbon is made from entirely Hudson Valley grains, and aged in Hudson Valley Oak barrels. The mash bill is 60% corn, 30% rye, and 10% malted barley all grown on their Springtown farm, fermented in open-top vats, and direct fired in copper stills. This bourbon has notes of polenta, toasty bread, and black pepper, with the additional notes of vanilla, almonds and cedar from the oak barrels.
