CloseFormer drummer, preacher’s son: Andrew Reginald Young a.k.a “St. Reginald Parish” is the intriguing personality behind tiny-but-mighty, The Marigny. This previously sold out orange is made from organically farmed, hand-harvested 100% Pinot Gris from Northern, and coast-leaning sites in the Willamette Valley. Whole-cluster carbonic maceration for one to two weeks extracts just enough color and tannin from the skins to place this wine solidly in the orange category. The wine is then pressed into stainless steel (75%) and barrel (25%) before bottling with no fining or filtration and a tiny amount of sulfur. Wild and fresh, the notes of mandarin, alpine flowers and slight grassiness delight on the nose. Its light body combines the tang of mandarin peel and apricot with minerality and salinity on the palate. Pair with spicy vegan curry Laksa or Memphis-style dry ribs at a summer cookout.
