CloseOn steep limestone hills above the Gulf of Cagliari, the Pala family have been crafting textbook, traditional Sardinian wines since the 1950's. After a soft, gentle pressing, the must is fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tank. This 100% Vermentino, which has become synonymous with Sardinia, has a delicious mix of richness and refreshing acidity - a hallmark characteristic of this grape. Floral aromas, fresh honeydew melon, and herbal notes that hint at grass and thyme add complexity, as does a classic streak of minerality. Try it with a hunk of Sardinian sheep cheese or Fregola (small balls of toasted Sardinian pasta) with saffron, clams, tomatoes, and parsley.
