Produced by Austrian winemaker Markus Altenburger, known for his excellent Blaufränksich ‘vom Kalk’ wines, this unique Chardonnay is made with grapes sourced from 30 small, organically-certified, biodynamic vineyard plots located around the historic wine village of Jois. The wine is zippy and mineral with a tart, zesty spice accompanied by some creaminess on the body. Pair with pan-seared lemon-butter scallops or regional cheese, such as the Vorarlberger Bergkäse - alone or melted into Käsespätzle, the Austrian version of mac and cheese.
