The Denthis project is a cooperative winemaking initiative between Greek importer, Eklektikon, and a number of small family wineries. Denthis is an homage to the oldest wine appellation in the world. The project champions growers with organic and biodynamic philosophies. This dry red is made from handpicked native 100% Agiorgitiko grown in the mountains of the Peloponnese. The grapes are macerated for a week with their skins, fermented with selected yeast, and matured in stainless steel tanks for 45 days. The nose is a medley of bright red fruit, rhubarb, violet and a hint of spice. Easy drinking with fine, dry tannins, its light body leads with juicy plum, tart strawberry acid, spice, leather and a prickle of C02. Pair with sizzling skirt steak topped with chimichurri or roasted Tandoori root veggies.
