CloseThe most widely planted grape in Croatia, this 100% Graševina (aka Welschriesling) is cultivated on volcanic and sandy soils over a bedrock of slate and granite that are sustainably farmed. Slavonia enjoys a continental climate with cool nights and warm, dry days that are perfect for ripening. The grapes are destemmed and fermented spontaneously with native yeast in stainless steel tanks, and pressed off skins after 15 days. The skin contact provides subtle tannins and texture as well as some salinity and citrus peel bitters, white maintaining its crisp acidity. Fresh aromas of spiced grapefruit and eucalyptus accompany an exquisite and savory palate of late summer fruits enjoyed in a pine forest. Pair with a hard salty cheese, like Manchego or mussels in a lemon, garlic, butter sauce.
