Coming from an agricultural family with a six-generation legacy in Martel, the Castagné brothers produce organically grown wines in the sunny hills of their native Southwest France. This easy drinking blend emerges from the brothers’ ripe, hand-harvested 85% Malbec and 15% Syrah. The Castagné’s process is minimal: native yeast fermentation, a single racking, no filtration, and a light introduction of CO2. The light-plus body is bursting with bright wild strawberries, cassis, and a white pepper note. This glou-glou red is young and fresh with silky tannins. Pair with juicy chicken thighs or a Cuban sandwich picnic.
