CloseFamily-run with three generations under its belt, Gañeta winery produces classic Getariako Txakolina within view of the Atlantic. Their rosé is made from native, 100% Hondarrabi Beltza from 50 year old vines. The grapes are destemmed and spontaneously fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine is filtered before bottling with a touch of sulfur. Its nose combines fresh cherry with the herbal spice of a serrano. With a slight spritz, the palate is fresh, crisp and dry with fruit-forward notes of watermelon, red raspberry, and limestone minerality. Its light body holds subtle acidity as well as seaspray salinity. Pair with pork Shumai or harissa sweet potato tacos with baba ganoush.
