The Finger Lakes region of New York has put itself on the map for making some of the finest new world Rieslings, and Forge Cellars offers a refined, emblematic snapshot of the region with their Classique Riesling. Winemakers Louis Barruol and Rick Rainey harvest all of their grapes by hand and age them in neutral French oak. This medium-bodied Riesling is bone dry and precise with floral aromatics, ripe stone fruit flavors, river stone minerality and a subtle whiff of tar. It’s racy and vivid, with a crisp finish. Serve alongside khanom jeen nam ya – Thai fish curry with rice noodles.
