CloseThis simple yet supple Chardonnay comes from the hills of Echevronne, a hamlet in the Cotes de Beaune, a region of Burgundy prized for its aromatic and elegant whites. The Lucien Jacob Estate originally specialized in cassis and framboise, but in 1960 expanded into 15 hectares of vineyards including 3 hectares of grand cru vineyards. The wine is barrel fermented, and aged in old oak barrels until the next year's harvest. With medium-bodied notes of ripe orchard fruits, subtle butterscotch and a hint of pineapple. Pair with duck cassoulet, coquilles saint jacques, or creamy stinky cheeses.
