From the Antica Hirpinia cooperative in Avellino comes this refreshing and floral 100% Falanghina. Grown on volcanic soil, this wine ages for 5 months in cement tanks, including three months on the fine lees. The wine then rests 2 months in the bottle before release. With white flowers on the nose and a rich palate, Antica Hirpinia’s Falanghina has delicate notes of wisteria and a hint of salinity on the finish. The symbol drawn on the label is the Mystic Rose, which can be found on carved stones left by the Knights Templar at nearby Benedictine monastery Abbazia del Goleto.
