Passopisciaro (“Fisherman’s Path”) is located on the slopes of Sicily’s Mt. Etna, an active volcano! The nutrient-rich, volcanic soil makes for a remarkably elegant wine, with well-balanced notes of smoke, earth, ripe berries, and dried Italian herbs. A blend of Nerello Mascalase, Cesanese, and Petit Verdot, the finish is long and lingers on the palate. Drink with a traditional Sicilian dish such as Carne alla Pizzaiola.
