CloseNestled in the foothills of Adlai, Alsace in northeastern France, the Kreydenweiss estate benefits from its continental climate and a mosaic of soils from pink sandstones, black and blue schist, to marno-calcaro-sandstone. Practicing biodynamic since 1989, Marc handed the reins in 2007 to his children Antoine and Charlotte who are now joined by their daughters Zoé, Lilou and Léonie. The 2018 Riesling is an age-worthy white with the telltale gout de petrol on the nose that’s both typical and desirable in mature, high quality Rieslings. High acid and precise with tart apple flavors and pronounced minerality, this wine pairs well with spicy Thai drunken noodles or spicy jerk sausages. The design of the label is also a priority and each bottle is transformed into a unique piece by a new artist every year.
