The Marchesi Incisa family holds roots in Piemonte dating back to the 11th century with vineyards planted as far back as the 1400’s in and around the town of Monferrato. There philosophy, above all else is to showcase the beauty and terroir of their region while staying true to their heritage. Their Barolo Dallalto is a lean, classic, leathery old world Nebbiolo that’s medium to light bodied but with the firm, dry earthy tannins of a heartier red. Notes of plum, black cherry and fig are enveloped by secondary aromas and flavors of tobacco, black pepper and anise with a distinct balsamic note throughout. Pairs well with pork chops, short rib Pappardelle, aged cheese, or mushroom Risotto.
