The Revolutionary Series was conceived by Joel Levangia, founder, GM, and history buff, to commemorate the battles of the War of Independence as we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary. The entire series is comprised of 57 (!!) distinct whiskies, collectively known as The Whiskey of Reason. On December 31st, 1775, after capturing Fort St. Jean and Montreal, General Richard Montgomery joined forces with Colonel Benedict Arnold and attacked the Lower Town of Quebec City amidst a blistering blizzard. The attempt proved unsuccessful, severely wounding Arnold and killing Montgomery, who died a hero, while Arnold took the blame for failing to capture the 14th Colony, precipitating his traitorous turn. Aged for 5 years in 25-gallon ex-bourbon barrels, the Battle of Quebec bottled at a solid 92 proof, boasts subtly sweet vanilla aromas and a soupçon of maple syrup. Sip neat, with a few drops of distilled water or with a rock.
