The ’Tan Little Piggy’ (not the Bronze Little Piggy for those who flunked HS French!, is some serious, sustainably-farmed old-vine rosé in a fun, irresistible package with a label drawn by Jean-Marie Rimbert, himself - a proud paysan farmer/winemaker. The grapes are harvested at their maximum ripeness, destemmed, gently crushed and fermented with ambient yeast in temperature-controlled stainless steel tank. The skins are removed 36 hours after pressing, lending this rosé its beautifully intense pink color. It's a crisp, refreshing, light-to-medium-bodied blend of 50% Grenache, 42% Syrah, 8% Mourvèdre with aromas and flavors of fresh cherry, strawberry, and a bit of tart pomegranate.
