Leon Gold’s Rosé Gold is a solid, cheerful, refreshing blend of Trollinger and Muskat-Trollinger that are united after a 36 hour maceration to create a lovely balance of fruit, freshness, and texture. From 45 year old vines planted on steep slopes of sandstone and marl outside the village of Gundelach in the Remstal, Leon farms and vinifies organically and biodynamically with extensive cover crops and impressive biodiversity. Fermented with native yeast and bottled with minimal sulfur at a reasonable 11.5%abv, this versatile food-friendly rosé pairs perfectly with cheese and charcuterie, or Linsen mit Spätzle und Saitenwürstle a healthy, local Swabian dish of lentils, noodles and frankfurters.
