Often referred to as the 'glacier vine,' Petite Arvine is an obscure, indigenous varietal known for its ability to thrive in cold and challenging alpine climates with extreme temperature swings and excellent drainage. Harvested by hand, gently pressed and vinified in temperature controlled stainless steel where it spends about 9 months on its lees, this is a medium-bodied, seductive white that draws you in with guava and jasmine aromas then yields to a ripe, round palate with gorgeous orchard fruit and melon flavors. Deceptively crisp acidity and distinct granitic minerality make this a perfect, off-the-beaten choice that pairs perfectly with an array of appetizers, scallop and mushroom Risotto or semi-aged cheeses.
