CloseAtilla Pálffy and his fiancée Orsi craft this wild, rebellious, uncompromising PetNat from 100% Kékfrankos grown organically in and around Köveskál, a village nestled north of Laka Balaton in Western Hungary. Their punk ethos pulses through every bottle of P.A.N.K. which is their nod to nonconformity and a celebration of life lived naturally, organically, and defiantly. It’s fermented spontaneously via intracellular, carbonic maceration and bottled without fining, filtration, or disgorgement. A little funky, flinty adn natty, it’s medium-bodied with aromas of fresh red berries and pomegranate coupled with crunchy cranberry, stony minerality and bright, balanced acidity. In short, a wild, red sparkler that pushes the envelope beyond Lambrusco. Pairs delectably with stronger foods like guinea fowl and cabbage, Hungarian Goulash, or mushroom Stroganoff.
