As the name suggests, Bourye is a combination of Bourbon and Rye whiskies. In this case, a 10-year-old bourbon, a 12-year-old straight Rye and a 16-year-old straight Rye are blended to create a unique and spectacular whiskey that’s smooth, rich and mature with classic bourbon sweetness and beautiful vanilla notes. The spicy nature of rye add a sharper, more angular structure as well as a hint of cedar. While combining bourbon and rye is not as unusual or mythological as the folks at High West would like you to believe with the jack-a-lope imagery, it’s still a darn good, pretty rare whiskey. Giddyap!
