This spirit is so unbelievable it has a color named after it. It has been made by Carthusian monks since the 1740s at their monastery in the Chartreuse Mountains. Its secret recipe including 132 botannicals has been guarded since its creation. The green color is completely due to the chlorophyll in the plants used. It has a sweet flavor at first but becomes pungent and spicy in the mouth. There is nothing comparable.
