2022 Palmento Costanzo Mofete Etna Rosato - Sicily, Italy (750ml)
In 2021 the Costanzo Family began a painstaking renovation of the dormant 19th century Palmento Winery and cellar, bringing it back to its original form and function. Their rosato is a pure expression of organic 100% Nerello Mascalese, which is hand-harvested and cold soaked for 8 hours prior to fermentation in stainless steel tank with indigenous. The wine ages on its fine lees for 4 months followed by another 2 months in bottle. The nose is a veritable garden party with violets, strawberries, and herbs. The palate includes a medley of fresh red berries, crisp acidity, a hint of saline minerality, and a clean, refreshing finish. Pair with scallops on spring pea risotto or curry grilled vegetables on polenta.

2023 Gál Tibor Egri Csillag - Eger, Hungary (750ml)
Egri Csillag, which can be translated as ‘Star of Eger’, is named for the lights emanating from the watchmen’s huts which stood on the northeastern borders of the city of Eger during the Turkish occupation of Hungary in the 16th and 17th centuries. This wine is a field blend that includes Leányka, Királyleányka, Szürkebarát, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Tramini, Viognier, and Olaszrizling. The grapes fermented separately in stainless steel before aging together on the lees for four months, resulting in a medium-bodied wine with supple stone fruit on the palate. Zesty and crisp, with hints of grapefruit peel, white flowers, and an elegant minerality, enjoy this wine alongside a shaved fennel and citrus salad, or miso-marinated cod.

2022 Domaine Benjamin Taillandier Bois du Vin T'auras des Copains - Loire Valley, France (1L)
Translation: Drink Wine You’ll Have Friends. Friends and winemakers, Benjamin Taillandier and Fabien Jouves collaborated on this big, bright, one liter 50/50 blend, comprised of the former’s ‘Laguzelle’ and the latter’s’You F&@k My Wine?!’ Cinsault, Syrah, Carignan, Jurançon Noir, and Malbec are all farmed organically, harvested by hand, fermented spontaneously and aged for six months in a mix of stainless steel, cement tanks, and old barrels. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration, and just a touch of sulfur. Easy-drinking and fresh with just a little funky kombucha note, this red blend is med-light bodied with fine tannins and bursting with juicy plum, raspberry, and green herbs. Pair with barbecue fare and… friends.

2022 Juanvi Rubielos De Mora - Aragon, Spain (750ml)
Juanvi is the artisan winemaking project of Juan Vicente Alcañiz, a native of Rubielos De Mora intent on creating jobs in this sparsely populated region while making high quality mountain wines. This dry, medium-bodied red is made from 70% Garnacha and 30% Tempranillo, grown organically and harvested by hand at high altitude in the Sierra de Gúdar-Javalambre. Whole bunches are fermented spontaneously in stainless steel followed by five months of aging in concrete tanks. The nose is packed with fresh red berries, leading to a clean medium-bodied palate. Ripe blackberry and graphite minerality with smokey and earthy notes precede the dry finish. Pair with Santa Maria Tri-Tip or King Oyster carnitas.
