Though known primarily for their ripe, rich reds, Muga makes a lovely white blend of predominantly Viura (aka Macabeu) with about 20% Malvasia and 10% Garnacha Blanca that’s adored by Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc lovers alike. Practicing organic, it's barrel fermented in mostly neutral oak, which gives it a rich, velvety texture with a kiss of honeysuckle and vanilla. Balanced by crisp citrus and ripe apricot flavors as well as a subtle herbaceous, fennel-like note, Muga Blanco pairs perfectly with Catalan Garlic Prawns but can also hold its own alongside Jamon de Serrano or Boquerones with Anchovies.
