2021 La Patience Rouge - Coteaux du Pont du Gard, Rhone Valley, France (750ml)

Named after ‘La Patience’ the wild aromatic herb found in the Costières de Nîmes, the Domaine is currently run by the winemaker Christophe Aguilar on the same land that his grandfather farmed over 50 years ago, so there’s a deep respect and intimate feel for the terroir. A blend of Merlot and Carignan, the nose offers a bouquet of violet and blackberry. On the palate, enjoy notes of bright raspberry and cassis. It has a medium body with firm, dry tannins, a peppery finish and some nice earthy minerality. Pair with rosemary roasted chicken and purple potatoes or miso-glazed eggplant burgers!
