2021 Domaine Allimant-Laugner Pinot Noir - Alsace, France (750ml)

From two families of winemakers, the Domaine Allimant-Laugner brings together three generations working on 12 hectares of vines, planted on clay-limestone soils. Grapes are hand-harvested and macerated for a week prior to pressing, resulting in a fresh, expansive and expressive Alsatian Pinot Noir. Pronounced black cherries titillate the nose, followed by bright red currant and woodsy, forest floor notes. The wine is medium-bodied with moderate tannins and a firm, dry finish. Pairs well with mushroom quiche.
