A-Grafo Roditis is made from the pink-skinned Roditis grape grown at the foothills of Mount Agrafa, located in Central Greece by winemaker Andreas Kontozisis and his partner Aphrodite Tousia. Their “A-Grafo” wines translate roughly to “uncharted,” referring both to their work in the Agrafa Mountain range, a unique split between two different terroirs (one at high elevation, the other, further south, is strikingly hot and arid), and their hands-off approach in the cellar. The wine sees one month of skin contact before aging on the lees for an additional 8 months. Roditis A-Grafo is a robust orange wine with notes of fresh apricot and lime on the nose, followed by a hint of honey and clean minerality on the finish. Enjoy with marinated feta, dolma, and pickled vegetables.
