2020 Croci Campedello Bianco Frizzante Pet Nat - Colli Piacentini, Emilia Romagna, Italy (750ml)

This lively, unique, and slightly orange Pet-Nat is made from a blend of Italian white varietals, mainly Malvasia di Candia Aromatico, Trebbiano, and Ortrugo. Croci’s vines are planted in limestone soils rich in disintegrating fossilized seashells, the farming of which has been organic for generations. The destemmed fruit see an 11-15 day maceration and fermentation is finished in the bottle resulting in a dry, medium-bodied Pet-Nat with fine bubbles. More aromatic with slightly more sourness than its companion wine, Lubigo. A fresh field of flowers will greet your nose at first, followed by voluptuous tropical fruit flavors - think persimmon and lemon. This wine will pair wonderfully with fresh, tangy dishes or deep fried seafood!
