2020 Braida Limonte Grignolino d'Asti - Piedmont, Italy (750ml)

This delicious light red is named for the Italian word for silt (limo), which the soil is composed of in the Grignolino d’asti appellation. The grapes are grown with sustainable farming practices and are fermented in stainless steel with malolactic fermentation, a process that makes the wine less tart and softer, and then aged for four months. The wine is dry and fresh, light bodied with medium acidity, low tannins, and subtle notes of fresh cherries followed by a dry finish. Pairs well with butternut squash and goat cheese ravioli.
