2019 Scarpetta Frico Rosato
Scarpetta is the project of acclaimed American sommelier Bobby Stuckey and chef Lachlan Mackinnon-Peterson of Frasca Food and Wine in Boulder, Colo. These two share a passion for bringing accessible, high-quality Italian wines to the masses, and this vintage of their Frico Rosato is no exception. Vinified from native Tuscan varietals - 90% Sangiovese, 5% Ciliegiolo, and 5% Canaiolo - it’s fresh and floral on the nose, with bright acidity and a hint of citrus peel on the palate. Enjoy with shrimp scampi or another light, garlicky fish.
