2020 Les Enfants Sauvages Cuvee Enfant Sauvage - Cotes Catalanes, Languedoc-Roussillon, France (750ml)

Les Enfants Sauvages, named in tribute to a Jim Morrison song, is the project of Carolin and Nikolaus Bantlin, two German winemakers who tend to a biodynamic vineyard in the French Mediterranean. This selection is a juicy blend of 50% Carignan, 30% Grenache, and 20% Mourvèdre, teeming with dark fruit and herbs. It’s medium-bodied and plush, with smooth tannins and a hint of leathery spice. Drink with Pissaladière – a pizza from the French Riviera topped with caramelized onions, olives, and anchovies – or jollof rice.
