2019 Iria Otero Mazoy Teixugo - Ribeiro, Galicia, Spain (750ml)

Teixugo is a unique blend of Caino Tinto and Souson, varietals that are native to the Iberian peninsula, from the coastal region of Galicia, Spain to the Vinho Verde region in Northern Portugal. Grown on two separate vineyards across Galicia, the grapes are partially de-stemmed prior to fermentation in open concrete vats, then transferred to a single large French oak foudre for 13 months. The result is an enticing, complex, medium-bodied wine with wild raspberry and juicy plum flavors, crushed stone minerality and a firm, dry tannic finish.
