2019 Desire Petit Arbois Pupillin Pinot Noir - Jura, France (750ml)

This Pinot Noir is made by the Petit family, whose organic, biodynamic estate was founded three generations ago, though the family has local winemaking roots dating back to the 1650’s. Grown up high in the mountainous Jura region between Burgundy and Switzerland, the grapes are hand harvested and fermented and aged in neutral oak barrels, resulting in a clean, high acid Pinot Noir with the texture and complexity typical of Alpine grown wines. Notes of forest berries and cedar wood are followed by dry clay minerality on the finish. Pairs wonderfully with a soft, pungent cheese like Morbier or alongside buttermilk Fried Chicken.
