Made from 80-120 year old, super-gnarly bush vines, this field blend of mostly Mencia with some Bastardo and Alicante Bouschet, is medium bodied with brambly raspberry flavors, balanced acidity and a firm, dry somewhat herbaceous finish. Practicing organic and made is very small quantities, entirely by hand, he ferments whole clusters then ages his wines in various size foudres and cement tanks before bottling them unfined and unfiltered. Pairs well with Fabada, a hearty Spanish white bean and chorizo stew!
