Founded in 1860, Domaine de Montvac has been passed from mother to daughter for the past three generations. Cécile Dusserre, currently at the helm, was trained in classical dance and uses ballet terminology to name her finest cuvees. Arabesque is an earthy, medium plus bodied blend of 70% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 5% Mourvedre that’s organically farmed, harvested by hand and fermented in cement tank with ambient yeast. Intense, yet delicate, it shows notes of red currant and blackberry with a touch of anise and earthiness. A great pairing for lighter meats like pork chops or blanquette de veau.
