Thomas Hareter is the Fourth generation to run his family’s estate on a farm that dates back to 1725. With his forward thinking vision, the winery began their conversion to organic viticulture, and became fully certified in 2006. This stunning, deep purplish blend of 70% Zweigelt and 30% Sankt-Laurent was farmed organically and fermented naturally in stainless steel, partially via carbonic maceration to keep the tannins at bay. The result is a supple, chillable yet intense and complex red that’s both earthy and clean with fresh black cherry and cassis flavors, a spicy white pepper note and a delicate finish. Pairs perfectly with Gnocchi Pomodoro or a salty cheese, charcuterie and black olive plate.
