7th generation winemakers Chantal and Eric Coudert-Appert are building on their ancestors incredible legacy at this prestigious Chateau. In 1999, they began to follow a technique called ‘integrated vinegrowing and winemaking’ in order to produce the highest quality grapes with minimal impact on the environment, as well as maximum protection for the consumer and the vineyard workers. Acquired just a few years ago, Morgon ‘Rontay’ is the newest addition to their vineyard holdings and produces the most powerful, fruit-forward - yet still elegant - Gamay of their Estate. It’s a medium-bodied, earthy wine with moderate tannins, brisk acidity and fresh, ripe raspberry and plum flavors. Pairs with a simple roast chicken, pate de campagne or terrine de lapin!
