Travel back in time with this fabulous 2001 magnum, the ideal size for aging reds. This classic Rioja is a blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Mazuelo that’s hand harvested, macerated on the skins for about 30 days with daily pumping to extract maximum flavor and color before spending 24-30 months in American oak barrels and another 40 months in bottle prior to release. This full-bodied red is purposely held back, built to last and just entering the prime of its life! Aromas and flavors of ripe black cherry and raspberry, followed by vanilla and clove with lush, ripe tannins on the finish. Pairs wonderfully with rosemary lamb chops or a juicy, thick-cut beef tenderloin.
