Gin is the base for many classic cocktails such as martinis and Gin and Tonics, and was celebrated in the hit song “Gin and Juice” by that arbiter of taste, Snoop Doggy Dog. For a spirit that has become so completely familiar to modern cocktail culture, gin still holds surprises for those who look closely. In the name of research, we’ll be pouring Aviation Gin from Oregon and two different gins from Dutch distillery, Boomsma. Each will be mixed into a different cocktail to highlight its unique character.
